Case Study Brian Scott

From Dirty List And Lost In Software to Sustainable Launch

How Brian Scott Sold Over $111,046 Event Tickets in Just 6 Weeks

The story of how fixing the fundamentals —not chasing tactics — unlocked leverage for a creator with 769,000 YouTube subscribers.

Brian Scott, Creator of The Reality Revolution

Best Selling Author Brian Scott has built extraordinary reach: 769,000 YouTube subscribers, 3,100+ videos,  130 MILLION views, and sold-out retreats.

On the surface, everything looked successful.

But behind the scenes, his systems told a very different story.

“My email list is horrible. I really need help with my funnels.” – Brian Scott

What Brian Wanted

Brian came to me wanting a FUNNEL to promote an upcoming live event, and sell tickets to his list.

His previous tech person just left, without handover or explanation.

The Hidden Problems

The email list and CRM account management

With nearly 770K subscribers, Brian should have had a thriving, responsive list.

Instead, here’s what I found:

  • 6,079 contacts total in ActiveCampaign, shockingly low given his influence
  • The list had not been emailed in 18 months. Engagement had gone cold.
  • 10% of the list were toxic email addresses (unsubs, bounces), a level that can devastate sender reputation if left unchecked.
  • A misconfigured CRM setup, leaving 1,600 contacts unreachable
  • Basic email automations like Abandoned Cart not set up and not connected.

The Hidden Problems

The email list and CRM account management

  • 10% of the list were toxic email addresses (unsubs, bounces), a level that can devastate sender reputation if left unchecked
  • A misconfigured CRM setup, leaving 1,600 contacts unreachable

The Fix

We focused on the unglamorous fundamentals that make or break online revenue:

  • List Cleanup: Removed bad addresses, restored deliverability, and corrected settings so previously unusable contacts could be reached.
  • Engagement Reset: Rebuilt sequences to warm up a list that hadn't been touched in 18 months, while staying on top of fresh bounces/unsubs.
  • Funnel Rebuild: Created a clean, conversion-optimized funnel with capped inventory, order flows, and upsells that actually worked.
  • Email Strategy: Installed abandoned cart and confirmation automations that had been completely missing.

The Results (6  Weeks)

With a clean, usable list of 5,187 contacts and a fresh funnel in place:

  • Revenue: $111,000+ in JUST 6 weeks
  • Landing page conversion rate: 27.40% (vs. ~20% industry average)
  • Buy rate: 5.77% (double what would normally be excellent).
  • Upsell Conversions are 35.09%, 10.91% and 13.73%, all well above industry standards.

Context: this is for a LIVE in person event, not a virtual event.

In person events are always harder to sell as people need to travel, but so we have sold 127 tickets, more than doubling the goal of 50 we set out at the start of the campaign.

The Transformation

Brian went from:

❌ 18 months of list neglect, poor deliverability, broken funnels to:

✅ A responsive, cleaned list
✅ Funnels converting above industry benchmarks
✅ Revenue momentum already outpacing his entire last year
